Hidden Site / Hidden Pages

Post by pmollbrink » Thu Aug 07, 2008 10:09 am

Hi List!

Is it possible to hide ALL pages on a site (except for the index) from non logged in viewers?

I'm trying to find out if this is doable in faq/manual etc but can't really find how/if this can easily be done.

The thing I want to create is a "members only" site where it is only possible to view pages when logged in.

Am I missing something really basic here?

Cheers!
Patrick

Hi Patrick!

I only know the Memberpages Plugin from Svarrer:
http://cmsimplewiki.com/doku.php/plugins/memberpages

But Svarrer closed his site.
Maybe someone can upload Svarrers plugins (the originals) to the wiki?

Holger

Edit: I forgot the Register - Plugin

Hi Holger,

Thanks for the info on the plugin (can't believe I didn't find i myself :)!

With you tip I took the bus down to University of Google and found this;

Looks like the right thing, I'll try it out.

Hi Patrick,

a while ago i have looked for more or less the same as You. I did not find something appropriate; memberspages is nice (i use it in a project important to me), but You have to protect each single page You are writing individually.

Did you consider putting the site in a .htaccess protected directory? (Then you should use page or javascript login for editing CMSimple).
