Clarification for Linkware License

Hello!

I had posted this in the german section two days ago, but didnt got an answer, so I will try it with this english thread.

I want to clarify a license-part: (yes, I read the FAQ&forum&license):

There are 3 licenses due to FAQ: APGL, Linkware License und Commercial.
I installed a CMsimple 3.2 with the black-grey default-template.

Q: Why should I care about the licence?
A: You are allowed to use CMSimple for free, if you
*** keep the CMSimple Legal Notices feature
or
*** replace this with the "Powered by CMSimple" link to cmsimple.org under the Linkware Licence,
and you are free not to use CMSimple.

When i want to use the linkware license, I only have to keep a visible link to cmsimple (powered by), and I can remove the "CMSimple Legal Notices" from menu ... is this correct?

we can only try to read the licences and the ideas behind ;=)

for the first I must say that we try to understand and interpret the licenses, as this is no easy topic.
For the second, I hope that Peter reads here, too.

Did you do a search in the forum here? There were such discussions already, but most of them were in german language, so you are right: are there any experts here?
