Re: New plugin: Pagemanager_XH

Hello Holger, an afterthought: As I've written this, I was not aware that noConflict() has a return value. So the problem is solved for me. As I understand noConflict() causes $ to be removed! What happens, if one plugin author uses noConflict(), and another author relies on $. Wouldn't this be a pr...

Re: jQuery integration

Hello community, in http://www.cmsimpleforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3187&st=0&sk=t&sd=a I've stumbled over problems with multiple jQuery versions. I have tested the final first version of jQuery4CMSimple from Holger right now, we will release it now Good news! That may solve the most problems, whe...

Re: New plugin: Pagemanager_XH

Hello Holger, thanks for your reply. We can't do somthing against that. An old plugin should be updated or it remain incompatible. You might want to see my new post in "Open Development". Maybe you'll take a look at my suggestion, and it's possible to use the function. The description of jQuery4CMSi...

Re: New plugin: Pagemanager_XH

Hello Gert, I thougt, jQuery were backward compatible ??? This should be so. But what if the plugin loader includes a plugin which uses a really old jQuery version, and after that, the loader includes jQuery4CMSimple. Will jQuery4CMSimple replace the old jQuery version from $hjs with its newer one? ...

Re: New plugin: Pagemanager_XH

Hello Gert, sounds great :), thanks for your information. So I will wait with the next release of Pagemanager_XH to use jQuery4CMSimple. :) BTW: shouldn't it be called jQuery4CMSimple_XH ;) Do you (plural ;)) have solutions for the mentioned topics jQuery.noConflict() and other plugins including old...

Re: New plugin: Pagemanager_XH

Hello Jerry, thanks for your report. :) I belive that there is no problem with jsTree The problem with noConflict() is, that jsTree doesn't work with it. I have tested it. Than I took a glimpse at it's sources, and found, that there many calls to $ but not to jQuery :( I couldn't find other informat...

Vielen, vielen ...

Re: New plugin: Pagemanager_XH

Hello Jerry, thanks for the feedback, and the valuable information that you've given me. I'm not very experienced with Javascript (and less with jQuery). I merely had to integrate jQuery because it's a requirement for jsTree (on which my code heavily relies). Now it's really late, so I will release ...

Re: CMSimple_XH: Backup and Restore

Hello Gert, That's Martins party It's english. As you know, "you" can be singular and plural. ;) seems we have to wait to August ... That's fine with me. But the Plugin developer of a plugin using jQuery have to take care for (loading inside the main function). Fine. :) And it shouldn't be a problem...
