Fotorama plugin sequence of images

Post by Nicky » Tue Mar 12, 2019 2:18 pm

Images were numbered in a certain order to determine which one comes first, second etc...

However, when uploading to the server, fotorama seems to randomly choose its own logic... totally ignoring A-B-C or 1-2-3. Any way to control this?

Thx

Well, what kind of version of Fotorama is that? Looks like Ingo's Fotorama but as you can see on your picture, not really. Have a look at the demo page of Fotorama for comparison.

EDIT:
Sorry, on the Demo-Page is also an image of the old Version of Fotorama. Version 1.7.2 looks like this.

This has recently been discussed in the German forum. To summarize: the order of the images depends on what the filesystem reports (which is usually “random” for Linux filesystems), and Fotorama doesn't (yet) allow to sort alphabetically.

The different presentation might be simply caused by different templates.

It is possible to change the sequence/order of images. Has to be done manually, but works.

Go to gallery (as shown in image above) and overwrite the filenames. Of course make sure to use exact same names but just trade places, like this you get the result I want.

Save gallery, done!
