There has been no access to http://www.cmsimplewiki.com/ the last few days?
Happy New Year to all of you.

We tried to get hold of the domain but it didn't work out. The domain is held by Till, who ceased to be active in CMSimple some years ago. According to whois stats however, the domain has

Expiration Date: 11-jun-2016

So it may still be in Till's hand.

According to whois(1), cmsimplewiki.com is owned by a domain trader since three weeks.

Is anybody interested in having the contents of cmsimplewiki.com available elsewhere? I have a backup here, and the contents are CC licensed.

I am interested in providing the content of cmsimplewiki.com for example on a subdomain for the community.
For the detail planning I would be glad about a few information still.
Does the backup contain the Wiki application as well as the content? What are the requirements for operation?
Should the contents of cmsimplewiki.com be read or should the content be modified?

The backup contains the complete website (including the DokuWiki app). However, it's a very old version of DokuWiki, so updating appears to be reasonable (if only for security reasons). DokuWiki has similar requirements to CMSimple(_XH), as it's also a flat-file system, so there shouldn't be a problem.

IMHO, read-only is sufficient. Instead of maintaining the old contents, it appears to make more sense to move still relevant info elsewhere over time, and leave the old contents there for "historic" purposes.

The content of "CMSimple Wiki" has been archived (27.04.2015) and is not maintained anymore!

Only the home page is visible.
If you click on any link, you will see an error 404.
This problem has existed for many weeks.
