Hi Gert,

I've checked the site since you've pointed that out. Always the same: the DNS lookup fails. I've written a PM to Bjorn nearly 4 weeks ago -- it's still in my outbox. From the results of my further investigations I conclude, that CMSimple LE is discontinued.

CMSimple LE is back: http://cmsimplewiki.com/doku.php/cmsimp ... msimple_le -> http://cmsimple.p2pnation.eu/

Nice logo! Nice name: "CMSimple Classic" -- looks really nice without an underscore!

And a nice download page. For sure that's not confusing. Or is it?

Hi guys

It is right I'm back.

The reason I stopped was that Peter Harteg suddenly released a 3.4 version, so I thought that he had changed his mind and would continue to develop CMSimple. Just short time ago I discovered, that he had sold everything to Gert.

As I see it the new versions of CMSimple, both from Gert and from the XH-team become lesser and lesser compatible to the original CMSimple, so I think there is a need for a classic version.

I have just released a version 3.5. Basicly it is similiar to 3.41 I just changed the loading of plugins, so plugins only are loaded when they are need to show the current page.

I would like if some of us could make a team to keep SMSimple Classic up to date and supply it with templates and plugins.

Best regards
Björn

Would have been nice, if you had dropped a note -- it was somewhat irritating to suddenly see cmsimple-le.eu offline. And it took quite some time to remove the leftovers.

I've seen that Microsoft Windows becomes lesser and lesser compatible to DOS. But I don't think there's really a need for FreeDOS.

IOW: IMHO it's better to bring the old plugins and templates up to date to work with CMSimple 4 and CMSimple_XH instead of keeping the classic CMSimple compatible with newer PHP releases. YMMV.

You might add a note, that it's not possible under 3.5 to call a plugin from the template.

Hi Björn,

you offer a download CMSimple version 3.5 Released Januar 2013.

You are not allowed to do so :!:

Please rename your project (and the Logo and the textes on your website) to CMSimpleClassic, CMSimple_Classic, CMSimple_LE or something like that. Please don't use the single word "CMSimple".

The GPL3 license allows to use the code, but not the name "CMSimple"

I allow to use the word "CMSimple" for CMSimple GPL3 based projects, but only in conjunction with "_anything" or any additional term without an empty space, like CMSimple_XH (or CMSimpleXH),

Gert

PS: I have sent you a mail by your mailform - doesn't it work? ;)
