Some functions have been removed since CMSimple v2.8. Mailform is included in CMSimple-XH again (improved in its security).
Please state always which CMSimple version you have installed.
Mailform is very primitive function anyway. More comfortible and more sofisticated are plugins written for this purpouse (sBlog, Ublog and others).

It's no shame to ask for an answer if all efforts failed.
But it's awful to ask without any effort to find the answer yourself.

You don't know which version you have downloaded? Open cmsimple/cms.php in notepad - the version use to be written in the comment right in the first lines.

That's what the plugins are written to - to place their function into the page content. There are help files included in plugins packages to read and to understand how to install, configure and use the plugins. Many hints can be found here in forum, on the authors sites and in CMSimplewiki.

Have you set your mail-adress in the settings?

Login, go to "settings" => "Edit configuration" and set "mailform_email:" to your email adress, then yo will have a mailform and a link to it below the Navigation,

Then you have to use a plugin, or extend the mailform.php html output. Then change "mailform" to "contact" in your language settings.
