expand level1 and level2 in menu by default

Post by ben9 » Sat Sep 27, 2008 7:40 am

Hi,

I want to show level1 and level2 items by default in the menu instead of only level 1 items.
Can I do this with a setting in the template? Or some other trick needed?

greetings,
Ben

Thanks for the link!

However: as I have a menu with 3 levels and only want to show first 2 levels expanded (and level 3 expanding when active) this solution does not work.

The 'dirty' approach would be to change the toc() function I suppose. However, looking at the code it's not clear to me what is happening there.

Would there be any other solutions??

Maybe, you could hide menulevel3 menu by CSS and work with the function toc(3). This might work....
