Hi twc,

for maintenance of a CMSimple website, I would suggest another way: put a file index.htm in the CMSimple root folder (right beside index.php) with the information, that the site is currently maintained. So browsing to http://fiberdordrecht.nl/ should show index.htm (otherwise you have to rename index.php to index1.php). Then you can even call http://fiberdordrecht.nl/index.php to browse your site.

This works nicely for single language installations, but even simpler is using the maintenance plugin, which is currently only available in CMSimple SE AFAIK.
