CMSimple_XH template tutorial

Post by Tata » Tue Nov 06, 2018 4:37 pm

I am not sure if this will somebody find usefull. But I have written this (IMHO) simple tutorial for those willing to create their own template.
I also don't think that everything in this tutorial is absolutely correct. In contrary, I am almost sure that there are failures or maybe even wrongly used things. It is also impossible to explain very much in any tutorial. But I wrote everything with my best intention using the most of what I have learned thanks to our gogeous community.
That's that I would appreciate very much any possible comment. For each positive one I ride 10 more kms on bike, for each negative I sit 1 more hour on MAC learning how to make things better.

It's no shame to ask for an answer if all efforts failed.
But it's awful to ask without any effort to find the answer yourself.

Seems there is a certificate issue; Chrome reports a “Datenschutzfehler”.

Wow! Thank You, Tata! Not expected! May I translate the textbook into Russian and place it on my website?

One thing found already (however not related to a template)/
There is used the syntaxhighlighter plugin. On my localhost works everything wonderfull. On the host (both installations) some of codes are not highlighted. I have checked the code of content.htm. Everything seems to be OK.

At least https://cmsimple.sk/tplxhtutor/plugins/ ... rushCSS.js is missing for some reason.

I'll try to walk to the tutorial later.

I have uploaded twice the installation from my localhost into a root/tplxhtutor and a subdomain tplxhtutor.root. The problem (not very important) occurs only on host. But I have also compared the files with the original packet and there seem to be everything present.
in each installation is the /lib/scripts content the same.

Nice try, really. But why is this template practically useless on mobile devices (iPhone SE)?
